NEET UG 2026 Admit Card Expected Soon: NTA to Release Hall Tickets by April 22
With over 24.5 lakh registrations, NEET UG 2026 has seen a significant jump in the number of applicants compared to the previous year. The exam is the sole gateway for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and BSc Nursing courses in recognized medical and dental colleges across India, including prestigious institutions like AIIMS and JIPMER. The admit card will contain crucial details such as the candidate's roll number, exam center address, reporting time, and specific instructions regarding the dress code and prohibited items.
The NTA has reiterated its strict stance on exam security and fair play. In a recent circular, the agency highlighted that biometric attendance and AI-based face recognition will be mandatory at all centers. 'We are committed to maintaining the integrity of the examination process. Any attempt at malpractice will be dealt with severely,' stated a senior NTA official. Students are advised to visit their allotted exam centers a day in advance to familiarize themselves with the location and transport options, ensuring they reach the venue by the stipulated reporting time.
In terms of preparation, the syllabus for NEET UG 2026 remains based on the NCERT curriculum for Classes 11 and 12. However, students have been alerted to the inclusion of certain new topics in the Biology section as per the revised National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines. Academic counselors recommend focusing on high-yield topics and practicing OMR sheet filling to minimize errors during the actual exam. Time management will be key, as candidates need to solve 180 questions out of 200 within a 200-minute window.
Once the admit cards are released, candidates must ensure that the photograph and signature on the hall ticket match their application form. In case of any discrepancies, they should immediately contact the NTA helpline. As the countdown to May 3 begins, the atmosphere among medical aspirants is one of focused intensity. The NTA is expected to release a detailed 'Candidate Instruction Booklet' along with the admit cards to guide students through the do's and don'ts of the examination day.
