The results are declared on the official NTA portal. The NTA follows a normalization procedure (percentile score) if the exam is conducted in multiple shifts to ensure fairness. The top 6% of the candidates appearing in both papers are declared qualified for Eligibility for Assistant Professor.

The cut-off is released separately for 'JRF & Assistant Professor' and 'Assistant Professor' only. It is determined by factors such as the number of candidates, difficulty level, and available slots. Generally, the qualifying mark is 40% for the General category and 35% for reserved categories across both papers combined.
